Terms of Service

Last updated 1-Sep-2026

Effective date: 1-Sep-2026
Last updated: 1-Sep-2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a binding agreement between you ("Customer", "you") and DeccanLogic Private Limited, a company incorporated under the laws of India, having its registered office at B-405, City Vista, Fountain Road, Kharadi, Pune-411014, Maharashtra, India, CIN U74999PN2018PTC177822, ("DeccanLogic", "we", "us").

They govern your access to and use of TaskStudio — our desktop application, chrome extensions, connectors, hosted services, websites and related documentation (together, the "Service").

By creating an account, installing the TaskStudio application, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you are entering into these Terms on behalf of a company or other organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that organisation, and "you" means that organisation.

If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

1. What TaskStudio is (and how it runs)

TaskStudio is a business automation platform. It lets you define, run and schedule tasks that operate across the third-party tools and websites you already use — for example job boards, applicant tracking systems, spreadsheets, email and messaging tools.

Two characteristics of the Service are important to how these Terms work, and you should read them carefully:

1.1 TaskStudio runs on your machine.
The TaskStudio application is installed and executed on your own computer. Tasks run locally, in your own environment, using your own browser sessions, accounts, credentials and files.

We store the structure of the tools and tasks you build — their steps, sequence, field types and schedules, held as a schema with your values stripped out — together with statistics about how they ran. We do not receive your credentials for the tools you connect, and we do not receive the data your tasks read or write. Both stay on your machine and in the third-party services you use. Clause 6 and the Privacy Policy set this out in full.

1.2 TaskStudio acts on your behalf, under your instruction.
When TaskStudio interacts with a third-party tool, it does so as you — using your logged-in session or your credentials, performing actions you have configured. TaskStudio is an automation tool, not an intermediary or agent of the third-party provider. We have no affiliation with, endorsement from, or special access to those providers.

Because of this, you remain the acting party for everything TaskStudio does on your instruction, and Clause 4 applies in full.

2. Accounts, eligibility and licence

2.1 Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into a contract. The Service is offered for business and professional use only. It is not intended for personal or household use.

2.2 Where the Service is offered

The Service is offered to businesses in India and in international markets outside the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland. We do not currently offer or market the Service to businesses or individuals located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, and our pricing, marketing, sign-up flows and support are not directed at those regions.

By accepting these Terms you represent that you are not located in, and are not entering into these Terms on behalf of an organisation established in, one of those regions. If you are, and you wish to use TaskStudio, write to info@deccanlogic.com — we may be able to discuss arrangements on an individual basis. If you access the Service from one of those regions without such an arrangement, you do so on your own initiative and remain responsible for your own compliance with the law applicable to you, and we may decline or discontinue service.

We may verify location using billing details and approximate IP-based geolocation. See Section 2 of the Privacy Policy.

2.3 Account registration

You must provide accurate registration information and keep it current. You are responsible for all activity under your account and for keeping your account credentials confidential. Tell us promptly at security@deccanlogic.com if you suspect unauthorised access.

2.4 Licence grant

Subject to these Terms and payment of applicable fees, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable licence to install and use the TaskStudio application and access the Service, for your internal business purposes, for the duration of your subscription.

2.5 Seats and users

A subscription entitles the number of named users ("Seats") stated in your plan. Seats may not be shared between individuals. You may reassign a Seat to a new individual when the previous holder no longer needs it.

2.6 Reservation of rights

All rights not expressly granted are reserved. Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of the Service or any intellectual property in it.

3. Subscriptions, fees and billing

3.1 Plans and credits

The Service is offered on subscription plans. Some plans include a monthly allowance of task credits, connectors or automation runs. Current plans, prices, credit allowances and included features are published at https://taskstudio.in/pricing and form part of these Terms.

3.2 Fees and taxes

Fees are as stated at the time of purchase and are exclusive of applicable taxes, including GST, which will be added where required. For customers outside India, you are responsible for any withholding, import or local taxes.

3.3 Billing cycle and renewal

Subscriptions are billed in advance, monthly or annually as selected, and renew automatically for successive terms unless cancelled before the end of the then-current term. You authorise us (and our payment processor) to charge your payment method on each renewal.

Credits are issued on payment for the period ahead, so each renewal payment is what triggers a fresh grant of credits.

3.4 Cancellation

You may cancel at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you retain access until then.

3.5 Refunds

Except where required by law, fees are non-refundable, and we do not provide refunds or credits for partial periods, unused credits, or periods of non-use.

3.6 Free trials and pilots

We may offer trials, pilot programmes or beta access. These are provided as-is without warranty or service commitment, may be modified or withdrawn at any time, and may carry different terms communicated to you at the time.

3.7 Price changes

We may change prices. For existing subscriptions, changes take effect at the start of the next renewal term and we will give you at least 30 days' notice. If you do not accept the change, you may cancel before it takes effect.

3.8 Expiry of credits and access

The Service is prepaid. You purchase a plan in advance and we issue task credits to your account against that payment. There are no post-paid balances, invoicing in arrears, or amounts owing to us after purchase.

Your ability to define, run and schedule tasks continues while your account has both (a) unused credits and (b) an unexpired subscription period. Access to task definition and execution stops automatically, without further notice, when either:

  • (a) your credit balance reaches zero; or
  • (b) the subscription period for which credits were issued lapses.

Credit expiry and rollover. Credits are valid only for the subscription period in which they were issued and expire at the end of it. Unused credits do not roll over and are not refundable or exchangeable for cash.

Restoring access. You can restore access at any time by purchasing a new plan or a credit top-up. Your account, task and workflow definitions and settings are retained during a lapse in accordance with the retention periods in the Privacy Policy, so purchasing again restores your existing configuration rather than starting afresh.

Failed renewal payment. If you have enabled automatic renewal and the renewal payment does not succeed, no new credits are issued and access stops as set out above at the end of the current period. We may retry the payment method and will notify you, but a failed renewal creates no debt and no interest liability.

4. Your responsibilities when automating third-party services

This clause is central to the agreement. Please read it in full.

4.1 You are responsible for compliance with third-party terms

Many websites, platforms and applications impose their own terms of use, acceptable-use policies, API terms, rate limits, and restrictions on automated access, scraping, bulk messaging or data extraction. Examples include, but are not limited to, job boards, professional networks, ATS platforms, email providers and messaging services.

You are solely responsible for:

  • (a) determining whether your intended automation is permitted by the third-party provider;
  • (b) obtaining any consents, licences, API keys or permissions those providers require;
  • (c) complying with their terms, rate limits and technical restrictions; and
  • (d) the consequences of non-compliance, including account suspension, throttling, data loss or legal claims by that provider.

We do not represent or warrant that any particular automation is permitted by any third party. The availability of a connector, template or example workflow in TaskStudio is not advice or assurance that its use is compliant in your circumstances.

4.2 You are responsible for the data you process

You are responsible for having a lawful basis and, where required, appropriate notice and consent to collect, process and transmit any personal data through your tasks — including candidate, employee and customer data. Where you process personal data of others using TaskStudio, you are the Data Fiduciary (or equivalent under the law applicable to you) and we act, at most, as a processor of limited operational metadata as described in the Privacy Policy.

4.3 You are responsible for reviewing outputs

TaskStudio uses automated and AI-assisted techniques. Outputs may be incomplete, inaccurate or unsuitable. You must review outputs before relying on them, and you must not use TaskStudio to make legally or materially significant decisions about individuals — including hiring, rejection, credit or employment decisions — without meaningful human review.

4.4 Acceptable use

You will not, and will not permit anyone else to:

  • use the Service for unsolicited bulk messaging or spam, or in violation of any anti-spam, telemarketing or data-protection law applicable to you or to your recipients;
  • use the Service to access any account, system or data you are not authorised to access;
  • circumvent security controls, authentication, paywalls, CAPTCHAs or access restrictions of any third-party service;
  • harvest personal data at scale in violation of applicable data-protection law or the source platform's terms;
  • use the Service for unlawful, defamatory, harassing, discriminatory or fraudulent purposes;
  • resell, sublicense, or provide the Service as a service bureau to third parties without our written agreement;
  • reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble the application, except to the extent this restriction is unenforceable under applicable law;
  • probe, scan or load-test our hosted infrastructure, or introduce malware or harmful code;
  • exceed, or attempt to circumvent, plan limits including credit allowances, Seat counts or rate limits.

4.5 Enforcement

We may investigate suspected violations and may suspend or terminate access — with notice where practicable, and immediately where necessary to protect the Service, other customers, or third parties.

5. Connectors, third-party services and AI providers

5.1 Connectors

TaskStudio provides connectors that interface with third-party tools, whether through published APIs or through browser automation of the tool's web interface. Connectors are provided for your convenience. Third-party providers may change, restrict or discontinue their interfaces at any time, which may break a connector without notice.

5.2 No warranty of continued availability

We do not warrant that any connector, integration or automated task will continue to function. We will use commercially reasonable efforts to maintain and update connectors, but a change by a third party is not a breach of these Terms by us and does not entitle you to a refund.

5.3 AI and language-model providers

Certain features use third-party AI/large-language-model providers as sub-processors to interpret your instructions, plan task steps and interpret page content. Where such features are used:

  • (a) the content sent to those providers is limited to what the feature requires — task instructions, tool and page structure metadata, and prompts you supply;
  • (b) we contract with providers on terms that prohibit the use of your content for training their models; and
  • (c) our current sub-processors are listed in the Privacy Policy

AI outputs are probabilistic and may be wrong. Clause 4.3 applies.

5.4 Your accounts with third parties

Your relationship with each third-party provider is directly with them and is governed by their terms. We are not a party to it and are not responsible for their acts, omissions, fees, or the availability or accuracy of their services.

6. Data, ownership and confidentiality

6.1 Your credentials and your data stay with you

As described in Clause 1.1, TaskStudio executes on your machine.

Credentials. Your credentials for the third-party tools you connect — passwords, API keys, OAuth tokens and session cookies — are held only on your machine, in your operating system's secure credential store or an encrypted local store. They are never transmitted to us, we have no means of retrieving them, and we cannot recover them for you if you lose access to your machine.

Task data. Every read and write your tasks perform happens directly between your machine and the third-party tool concerned. The documents, spreadsheets, candidate and customer records, extracted data, created records and message contents your tasks handle remain on your systems and in those services. We do not collect, store, or have access to any of it, and we could not produce it if required to.

6.2 What we do receive

We receive, and store in your account, the structure of the tools and tasks you build — the connectors configured, the steps in each task, their sequence, field names and data types, mappings and schedules — so that your work is backed up and restorable. This structure is stored as a schema: the values you or your data supply are stripped out before the definition is saved and are not transmitted to us. We also receive account and billing details, run counts, timings, success/failure status, error classifications, credit consumption, application version and diagnostic telemetry.

This is described in detail in the Privacy Policy.

6.3 Ownership of your content

You retain all right, title and interest in your data, your task and workflow definitions, and any outputs produced by your use of the Service. We claim no ownership over them.

6.4 Ownership of the Service

We retain all right, title and interest in the Service, the TaskStudio application, connector definitions, manifests, documentation and all associated intellectual property, including any improvements to them.

6.5 Aggregated and de-identified data

We may compile aggregated, de-identified statistics from operational metadata (for example, "connector X fails 3% of the time across the fleet") to operate, secure, benchmark and improve the Service. Such data will not identify you, your customers or your candidates, and will not contain your business content.

6.6 Feedback

If you give us suggestions or feedback, you grant us a perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free licence to use it without obligation or attribution.

6.7 Confidentiality

Each party will protect the other's confidential information with at least reasonable care, use it only for the purposes of these Terms, and not disclose it except to personnel and advisers bound by comparable obligations, or as required by law.

7. Service availability, support and changes

7.1 Availability

We aim to keep the hosted parts of the Service (accounts, licensing, connector registry, telemetry) available, but we do not commit to a specific uptime level under these Terms. Because task execution happens on your machine, most task functionality continues to work during brief hosted-service interruptions, subject to licence checks.

7.2 Maintenance

We may perform scheduled and emergency maintenance. We will give advance notice of planned maintenance where practicable.

7.3 Changes to the Service

We may add, modify or discontinue features. Where a change materially reduces core functionality you rely on, we will give reasonable prior notice where practicable.

7.4 Application updates

The TaskStudio application may download and install updates automatically, including connector definition updates. Updates may be required for continued operation. Where an update expands the permissions or host scope a connector uses, we will ask for your explicit consent before applying it.

7.5 Support

Support is provided per your plan through email.

8. Term, suspension and termination

8.1 Term

These Terms run from your first use of the Service until your subscription ends and all accounts are closed.

8.2 Termination by you

You may terminate at any time by cancelling your subscription and ceasing use of the Service. Clause 3.5 (refunds) applies.

8.3 Termination or suspension by us

We may suspend or terminate your access:

  • immediately, if you materially breach these Terms (including Clause 4) and the breach is not cured within 7 days of notice, or is not capable of cure;
  • immediately, where required by law or to protect the Service, other customers or third parties;
  • where you are located in a region in which we do not offer the Service, per Clause 2.2; or
  • for convenience, on 30 days' notice, with a pro-rata refund of prepaid fees for the unused period.

Separately from this clause, access stops automatically when credits are exhausted or the subscription period lapses, as set out in Clause 3.8. That is not a suspension or termination by us.

8.4 Effect of termination

On termination, your licence ends and you must stop using the application. Because your data resides on your own systems, no data export from us is required; we will delete or de-identify your account and operational metadata in accordance with the retention periods in the Privacy Policy.

8.5 Survival

Clauses 4, 6, 9, 10, 11, 12 and 13 survive termination.

9. Disclaimers

Except as expressly stated in these Terms, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express, implied or statutory, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, and any warranty arising from course of dealing or usage of trade.

Without limiting the above, we do not warrant that:

  • the Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure or error-free;
  • any connector or automated task will function with any third-party service, or continue to do so;
  • automation of any particular third-party service is permitted by that service;
  • AI-assisted outputs will be accurate, complete or fit for your purpose; or
  • defects will be corrected.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

10. Limitation of liability

10.1 Exclusion of indirect damages. To the maximum extent permitted by law, neither party is liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, goodwill, business opportunity, or loss or corruption of data, however caused and under any theory of liability, even if advised of the possibility.

10.2 Liability cap. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability arising out of or related to these Terms or the Service will not exceed the total fees you paid to us in the twelve (12) months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim — or INR 10,000 if no fees were paid.

10.3 Third-party consequences. Without limiting Clause 4.1, we are not liable for suspension, restriction, throttling, banning or termination of any of your accounts by a third-party provider, or for any resulting loss, arising from your use of the Service to automate that provider.

10.4 Exceptions. The exclusions and cap do not apply to: your payment obligations; your obligations under Clause 11 (indemnity); either party's liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, or death or personal injury caused by negligence; or any liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

10.5 Basis of the bargain. The parties agree these limitations reflect a reasonable allocation of risk and are an essential basis of the bargain, and would be different absent them.

11. Indemnity

11.1 By you

You will defend, indemnify and hold harmless DeccanLogic, its affiliates, officers, employees and agents from and against any third-party claim, demand, proceeding, loss, liability, damages, fines, penalties, costs and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or relating to:

  • (a) your use of the Service, including any task you configure or run;
  • (b) your breach of Clause 4, including violation of a third party's terms of use or of applicable data-protection, anti-spam, employment or anti-discrimination law;
  • (c) the data you process through the Service, including personal data of candidates, employees or customers;
  • (d) your infringement or misappropriation of any third party's rights; or
  • (e) your use of the Service from a region in which we do not offer it, contrary to Clause 2.2.

11.2 By us

We will defend you against any third-party claim that the TaskStudio application, as provided by us and used in accordance with these Terms, infringes that third party's intellectual property rights, and will pay damages finally awarded or amounts we agree in settlement. This does not apply to claims arising from: your data or task definitions; modifications not made by us; combination with anything not provided by us; the third-party services you choose to automate; or your continued use after we notify you to stop.

11.3 Procedure

The indemnified party must promptly notify the indemnifying party, give it sole control of the defence and settlement (with no admission of liability on the indemnified party's behalf without consent), and provide reasonable cooperation at the indemnifying party's expense.

12. Governing law and dispute resolution

12.1 Governing law. These Terms and any dispute arising out of or in connection with them, including non-contractual disputes, are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. The United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods does not apply.

12.2 Jurisdiction. The courts at Pune, Maharashtra, India have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms, and each party submits to that jurisdiction.

12.3 Good-faith resolution. Before commencing proceedings, the parties will attempt in good faith to resolve the dispute by escalation between senior representatives for a period of 30 days after written notice, except where urgent injunctive relief is sought.

12.4 Injunctive relief. Nothing prevents either party from seeking interim or injunctive relief in any court of competent jurisdiction to protect its intellectual property or confidential information.

13. General

13.1 Changes to these Terms. We may update these Terms. For material changes, we will give at least 30 days' notice by email or in-application notice before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance. If you do not accept, you may terminate and receive a pro-rata refund of prepaid fees for the unused period.

13.2 Entire agreement. These Terms, the Privacy Policy, any data processing addendum we have signed with you, and any order form or plan description you accept, constitute the entire agreement and supersede all prior understandings. Any conflicting terms in a purchase order or vendor portal are rejected unless we sign them.

13.3 Order of precedence. In case of conflict: (1) a signed order form or master agreement, (2) any data processing addendum we have signed with you, (3) these Terms, (4) the Privacy Policy, (5) documentation.

13.4 Assignment. You may not assign these Terms without our prior written consent, except to a successor in a merger or sale of substantially all assets, on notice to us. We may assign to an affiliate or successor.

13.5 Subcontractors. We may use subcontractors and sub-processors to provide the Service and remain responsible for their performance.

13.6 Force majeure. Neither party is liable for failure or delay caused by events beyond its reasonable control, including natural disasters, war, terrorism, labour disputes, internet or utility failures, government action, or failures of third-party services or providers.

13.7 Notices. Notices to you may be sent to the email on your account or shown in the application. Notices to us must be sent to legal@deccanlogic.com and, for formal legal notices, to our registered address stated above.

13.8 Publicity. We will not use your name or logo publicly without your prior consent.

13.9 Severability and waiver. If any provision is held unenforceable, it will be modified to the minimum extent necessary and the remainder stays in effect. Failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of it.

13.10 No agency. Nothing creates a partnership, joint venture, agency or employment relationship between the parties.

13.11 Export, sanctions and territory. You represent that you are not located in, and will not use the Service from, any country subject to comprehensive sanctions, and that you are not on any restricted-party list. The Service is offered only in the markets described in Clause 2.2.
